A gathering of the People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) — an amalgam of six mainstream political events in Jammu and Kashmir in search of the restoration of the particular standing of the erstwhile state – which was scheduled to happen on Tuesday in Srinagar has been postponed.
The assembly has been postponed due to some prior “personal” engagement of the alliance’s Vice-Chairperson and PDP president Mehbooba Mufti.
“PAGD meeting which was scheduled for tomorrow is postponed because of personal engagement of Mehbooba Mufti,” PAGD spokesperson MY Tarigami stated.
The assembly was scheduled to be held on the alliance’s chairperson Farooq Abdullah’s residence in Gupkar space of the town at 11 am.
Earlier, the PAGD spokesperson had stated the assembly will focus on the all-party meet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on June 24, and the best way ahead for the alliance.
