Glenn Maxwell Slams 64-Ball 154, Breaking Records

As he became the first player in Big Bash history to hit 150 runs, records and milestones were smashed at his feet.
Glenn Maxwell of Australia was at his ruthless best when he smashed a record-breaking 154 off just 64 balls to help his Melbourne Stars to 273/2, the highest total in the Big Bash League’s history.

As he became the first player in Big Bash history to hit 150 runs, records and milestones were smashed at his feet. Maxwell hit a half-century in just 20 balls and a century in 41 balls as the Hobart Hurricanes bowlers strewn their deliveries all over the field. On his way to 154, the Australian swashbuckler hit 22 fours and four sixes.

Marcus Stoinis, who was on the non-end striker’s in this match, had the previous record for the highest individual score in the BBL with 147 not out, and he had a front-row seat to see his record smashed by a rampaging Maxwell.
