Ellie Goulding discusses her anxiety: ‘It feels like something inside of me is broken

“I’ve struggled with a panic I didn’t even know existed on a daily, nightly, hourly basis.”

Ellie Goulding is the most recent celebrity to speak openly about her mental health struggles. People are looking forward to a more optimistic 2022 now that the year 2021 has come to an end.

One of them is Goulding. The 34-year-old singer opened up about her current situation. She wrote in a lengthy Instagram post that she is grateful for many things this year, calling it the “best” of her life.

The singer wrote that becoming a mother this year has been the “greatest joy” of her life. She also performed at a Christmas concert for Kate Middleton and Prince William, the Duchess and Duke of Cambridge, and released her first book. She has a dog and a cat who adore her, as well as friends and a husband who love and support her every day.

She did admit, however, that the previous year had been the most difficult for her. “This has also been the most difficult year of my life. I’ve struggled with a panic I didn’t even realise existed on a daily, nightly, and hourly basis. “While being on stage in front of all of you has been exhilarating and calming in the past, this year I have been struggling,” she wrote.

Goulding went on to say that her anxiety “dictated quite a lot of my life and career,” making her “sad.” It has, however, shaped her into the person she is today.

“I’m telling you this on the last day of the year because so many of you have asked how I’m doing and haven’t received a response. It’s because I’ve been too afraid to admit that the answer isn’t all that great. “I feel like something is broken inside — something that the few I’ve opened up to have echoed deeply,” the post read.

“This is something that so many people have gone through, that you may be going through right now, or that you may go through in the future,” the singer continued, “and I just wanted to say, and I have to remind myself all the time, that it’s not just you, it’s not just me.” Anxiety has rendered me helpless.”

“We’re together and we can get through this,” Goulding said at the end of the post. “Let’s get this over with together.” The year 2022 is going to be a fantastic one. Positive vibrations. Together.”
