Disney+ Hotstar Is Currently Testing Rs. 49 and Rs. 199 Mobile Plans in India, According to Users

According to user reports, Disney+ Hotstar has begun testing two new mobile plans in India aimed at attracting new customers by offering access to over-the-top (OTT) content for as little as Rs. 49 per month. According to reports, the new plans are limited to a few payment methods. For mobile users, Disney+ Hotstar offers annual plans starting at Rs. 499 per year. The streaming platform also offers the Rs. 899 “Super” plan and the Rs. 1,499 “Premium” plan.

The Rs. 49 Disney+ Hotstar plan is available with an introductory discount of Rs. 50, as first reported by a Reddit user. This means that it will be available for Rs. 99 per month for a limited time.

According to OnlyTech, the plan is ad-supported and gives users access to the entire Disney+ Hotstar library on a single device. It also supports video streaming in HD (720p) resolution with stereo audio.

At the moment, the Rs. 49 plan is said to be in testing for a select group of Android users. Users who pay for their subscriptions with a card, Paytm, PhonePe, or UPI are also restricted.

In addition to the Rs. 49 plan, TelecomTalk reports that Disney+ Hotstar is testing a Rs. 199 plan for select customers as part of an introductory offer. After the offer expires, it will be available for Rs. 299 on

The plan is valid for six months and gives you access to all Disney+ Hotstar content in HD (720p). According to the report, the content will also be used to serve ads in sports and movies.

The Rs. 499 Mobile, Rs. 899 Super, and Rs. 1,499 Premium subscription plans were introduced in July by Disney+ Hotstar in India. The Mobile plan is only available on mobile devices and only allows for one device to stream HD video. The Super plan, on the other hand, includes full-HD (1080p) streaming for up to two devices, whereas the Premium plan includes full-HD streaming for up to four. The Super and Premium plans also include Dolby 5.1 audio, while the Mobile plan only offers stereo audio.
