Disha Parmar praises Ayushmann Khurrana’s latest film on transgender community

Actress Bade Achhe Lagte Hain Disha Parmar spent some time at the movies, watching the Hindi film ‘Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui.’ Abhishek Kapoor directed the film, which stars Bollywood actors Ayushmann Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor. The film informs viewers about our society’s trans community and their struggle to live a normal life.

Disha Parmar was a fan of the film and gushed about it on social media. She praised the performances of Ayushmann Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor. Disha shared her thoughts on how “”Saw #ChandigarhKareAashiqui last night and realised how unaware & insensitive people can get towards the trans community!” she writes. It was a lovely movie! And you were amazing as Manu, @ayushmannk. Also, @Vaaniofficial! (sic).” Disha’s tweet was acknowledged by Ayushmann, who thanked her for her kind words. With a hugging emoji, the Hindi film actor wrote, “Thank you Disha!”

The film ‘Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui’ was released in theatres and received positive reviews. However, the film was released on OTT in less than a month, and many of them, like Disha Parmar, had the opportunity to treat themselves to a film over the weekend.
When it comes to Disha Parmar, she is currently starring in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain. She reprises her role as Priya, opposite Ram played by Nakuul Mehta. These roles were previously played by Sakshi Tanwar and Ram Kapoor. Their chemistry had become a local sensation.

Nakuul recently tested positive for COVID-19, and as his co-star, Disha also had the test done, which came back negative. Nakuul has tested negative after isolating himself under medical supervision.
