Date of Tommy Fury vs Jake Paul Bout is signed in contract

After waiting for months, it now seems as though Fury and Paul have agreed to fight.

Despite rumours that a £2 million contract was reached for the two to fight after their initial December fight was called off, Tommy Fury is anticipated to face Jake Paul on August 6 at Madison Square Garden.

Months have passed while Tommy fought on the undercard of his older brother Tyson’s victory over Dillian Whyte at Wembley to win the heavyweight championship. If this fight goes on, he will face another unbeaten opponent. That victory against Daniel Bocianski was simple.

Due to a combination of an injury and illness, Fury withdrew from the previous fight, which was set for December. However, a Twitter interaction between the two parties seems to have finalised the rescheduled match.

On Twitter, Paul gave Fury a deadline and called the 22-year-old out, saying: “You withdrew last year, Tommy Fury. Your dad is attempting to yank you away once more, but you’ve decided to fight me now. Everything you requested has been fulfilled.

$2 million in cash VADA evaluation. Tampons. I’ll never offer you this opportunity again if you don’t resolve this within 24 hours.”

This was sufficient motivation for Fury, who received a reply ten minutes later with the message “See you on August 6th, mate.” These tweets should be taken with a grain of salt, especially in light of the fact that their previously arranged battle was cancelled, as no formal communications from an organiser have yet been received.

There had been some uncertainty lately, especially following the behaviour of the Paul camp, when Tommy Fury’s father John said he didn’t want anything to do with the fight.

For the time being, it appears that these concerns have been overcome, but fans will be waiting for an official statement as Jake Paul’s promotional business Most Valuable Promotions may be involved in the fight’s promotion.
