Classic, Bullet, Meteor, Electra, and CB350 350cc Motorcycle Sales November 2021

While domestic numbers are down year over year, exports are up nearly five-fold in November 2021.

November was a difficult month for Classic 350, Meteor 350, and CB350, as all three models experienced negative year-over-year growth. All of these bikes have negative MoM growth. As a result, 350cc motorcycle sales are down 31.09 percent year over year and -2.60 percent month over month. In terms of YoY and MoM growth, exports have remained strong.

In November, a total of 41,688 units were sold in the domestic market. Last year, 60,492 units were sold during the same time period. In October 2021, 42,799 units were sold. In November 2021, exports totaled 5,252 units, up from 1,085 units in November of the previous year. The year-over-year increase is 384.06%. In October 2021, 3,298 units were exported, representing a 59.25 percent increase over the previous month.

Sales of 350cc motorcycles in November 2021 – Classic 350 takes the lead

Despite a more than 50% drop in YoY sales, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 remains the most popular motorcycle in the 350cc segment. In November 2021, a total of 19,601 units were sold, compared to 39,391 units in November of the previous year. The Classic 350 has a market share of 47.02 percent. In comparison to 19,728 units sold in October 2021, MoM growth is also negative at -0.64 percent.

With 8,733 units sold in November 2021, the Bullet 350 has climbed to second place. Meteor 350 had previously held the second position. Bullet 350 sales are up 34.09 percent year over year, with 6,513 units sold in November of last year. The company has a market share of 20.95 percent. Bullet sales are up 50% year over year, with 5,822 units sold in October 2021.

With 6,775 units sold in November 2021, the Meteor 350 is in third place. When compared to the 7,031 units sold in November of last year, YoY growth is down by -3.64 percent. The company has a 16.25 percent market share. When compared to 7,851 units sold in October 2021, Meteor MoM sales are down -13.71 percent.

The Electra 350 comes in second, with 4,257 units sold in November 2021. When compared to the 3,490 units sold in November of last year, YoY growth is up 21.98 percent. The company has a market share of 10.21%. Electra sales have increased by 89.54 percent year over year, with 2,246 units sold in October 2021.

With 2,322 units sold in November 2021, the Honda H’ness CB350 has dropped to fifth place. When compared to 4,067 units sold in November of last year, YoY growth is -42.91 percent. In November, market share fell from 16.71 percent in October to 5.57 percent. When compared to 7,152 units sold in October 2021, MoM growth is down by -67.53 percent.

Meteor has the upper hand in terms of exports.

In international markets, the Meteor is the best-selling 350cc Royal Enfield motorcycle. In November 2021, a total of 2,605 units were exported. In November of last year, 251 units were exported, which represents a 937.85 percent increase year over year. Exports account for 49.60 percent of the total. Meteor exports increased by 114.05 percent year over year in October 2021, compared to 1,217 units.

With 1,375 units exported, the Classic 350 is in second place. In November of last year, 727 units were exported, a YoY increase of 89.13 percent. Exports account for 26.18 percent of the total. In October 2021, 545 units were exported, representing a 152.29 percent increase over the previous month.

CB350 is ranked third, with 1,272 units exported. While year-over-year growth is up 1282.61 percent, month-over-month growth is down -17.19 percent. In November 2021, the CB350’s share of exports was 24.22 percent. In November 2021, Bullet and Electra had no exports.
