What’s New in The Maruti Suzuki Brezza for 2022?
The new Maruti Brezza will take the place of the popular Vitara Brezza compact SUV, which was introduced in 2016. In the process, the “Vitara” prefix will be dropped from the new Brezza’s name. According to sources, Maruti Suzuki’s upcoming midsize SUV, which is being developed in collaboration with Toyota, will be known as the Vitara.
According to our sources, the new Brezza will be based on the same platform as its predecessor, but will feature all-new body panels and an all-new interior. Maruti Suzuki’s teaser image confirms the car’s fresh styling up front, which includes an angular headlamp design and stylish daytime running lights. The new Brezza gets a flatter nose with a new grille, bumper, headlamps, and bonnet, as seen in previous spy shots. The tailgate is all-new at the back, with horizontally positioned wraparound taillamps. When viewed from the sides, the new Brezza will have a floating roof effect, making the SUV appear longer than its sub-four-metre length.
Interior and Features of The Maruti Suzuki Brezza in 2022
The interior will see significant changes, with the Brezza getting a new dashboard design similar to the one seen on the new Baleno. The presence of a sunroof has already been confirmed by Maruti Suzuki – a first for any Maruti Suzuki compact SUV.
On higher variants, features such as a 9-inch touchscreen, cruise control, automatic climate control, and even a heads-up display are expected. According to dealer sources, the new Brezza will have two touchscreen infotainment options, with the lower trims getting the 8-inch unit from the outgoing Vitara Brezza and the higher trims getting the larger one.
Engine for The Maruti Suzuki Brezza in 2022
Maruti Suzuki’s new K15C engine, which debuted on the Ertiga and XL6, will power the new Brezza, replacing the K15B that powered the previous model. This engine produces 103 horsepower and 136 pound-feet of torque and will be mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Mild-hybrid fuel-saving technology will be added to this engine.
Maruti Suzuki has confirmed that some variants of the new Brezza will include a six-speed automatic transmission, with a CNG-powered version to follow in the coming months.
On June 30, the new Brezza’s price will be revealed, and we expect the new compact SUV’s starting price to be lower than that of its arch rivals, such as the recently facelifted Hyundai Venue, the Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Nissan Magnite, and Renault Kiger.
