“LALISA,” the title track from Lisa’s solo album, previously topped the iTunes Top Song charts in 72 countries.
The first solo album song ‘MONEY’ by BLACKPINK member Lisa has set a new record on Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform.
On December 30, Lisa’s agency, YG Entertainment, announced that “MONEY” had reached 300 million Spotify streams in the morning of that day. It’s the 112th day since it was released on September 10th. Furthermore, this is the fastest that a K-pop solo artist’s song has reached 300 million streams.
Jennie’s “Solo,” which reached 300 million streams for the first time as a Korean solo artist in about 960 days, set the previous record.
For two weeks, Lisa’s solo album title song “LALISA” topped the iTunes Top Song charts in 72 countries and the Global YouTube Song Top 100 chart. In addition, “LALISA” and “MONEY” ranked 84th and 93rd on Billboard’s “Hot 100” chart, respectively, successfully entering the global pop market’s main single chart.
“MONEY,” in particular, has demonstrated its long-term appeal, ranking fifth on Spotify’s Global chart. Furthermore, it spent eight and two weeks on the UK Official Single Top 100 chart and the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, respectively.
