Sixty-nine Bangladeshi veterans of the 1971 India-Pakistan War arrived in a special train here on Friday to commemorate ‘Vijay Diwas,’ according to a railways official.
The war veterans were transported from Delhi by the ‘Swarnim Vijay Varsh Special,’ which gave them a taste of the country and city, according to the official.
North Central Railway’s Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM) greeted the war veterans at the Agra Cantt Railway Station.

The war veterans visited Agra Fort on Friday and will visit the Taj Mahal on Saturday, according to railway sources.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the war against Pakistan that resulted in Bangladesh’s formation.
