Bajaj Motorcycles is one of India’s most well-known motorcycle manufacturers. Bajaj is based in Pune and has manufacturing plants in Maharashtra’s Chakan and Uttarakhand’s Pantnagar. The company’s corporate office and research and development center are located in the company’s oldest plant in Akurdi, Pune.

Bajaj, best known for the Chetak scooter, has shifted its focus from scooters to motorcycles. Bajaj Auto currently sells a variety of motorcycles under various brands, including Platina, Discover, Avenger, Pulsar, and the newly introduced V.

KTM Power Sports has a 14.5 percent stake in Bajaj Auto. KTM will provide know-how for joint development of new motorcycles and engines as part of this deal, while Bajaj will take over manufacturing and distribution of KTM products in India and export them worldwide. Bajaj owns 47.96 percent of KTM at the moment.

Bajaj sells its products in two formats: Bajaj showrooms, which sell all Bajaj motorcycles, and Probiking showrooms, which sell KTM and Kawasaki motorcycles. Due to the innovations they offer at an affordable price, Bajaj bikes have captured a significant share of the Indian market in 2019.
