Anil Kapoor film Jug Jugg Jeeyo Movie Review

Jug Jugg Jeeyo Story: When Kuku and Naina come to India from Canada hoping to break the news of their impending divorce after the big fat desi wedding in the house, they are in for an even bigger surprise when they return home.

Review of Jug Jugg Jeeyo: As soon as Kuku (Varun Dhawan) lays eyes on Naina (Kiara Advani), he knows she is the one. From childhood to adulthood, their relationship is exemplary, but after five years of marriage, things begin to fall apart. To the extent that they decide to part ways, but the hardest part will be telling their families. Particularly to Kuku’s loud and boisterous family, who are preparing for the wedding of their younger daughter Ginni (Prajakta Koli). It may sound like a straightforward plot, but wait until director Raj Mehta and his writers rapidly throw you relationship issue after relationship issue. Every stereotypical Indian problem is given a comedic twist by the filmmakers. From obnoxious aunts torturing newlyweds for ‘good news’ to a young woman marrying a man she doesn’t love in order to be “settled.” The film illuminates several issues subtly and consistently with a sense of humor. The flaws and realism of Raj Mehta’s characters and their problems are relatable. The entire plot is a roller coaster ride of relationship problems that are difficult to resolve, but are handled with sufficient tact to prevent the film from becoming tedious.

Anil Kapoor is the life and soul of this party. The actor is in top form as the boisterous and colorful patriarch of the family, Bheem. Despite his eccentricities, he makes you root for him, making the role a perfect fit for him. Varun Dhawan demonstrates commendable restraint in an all-out family drama that uses comic relief to escape every tense circumstance. Kiara Advani is beautiful in every frame and delivers an excellent performance. Neetu Kapoor is extremely endearing and likable, and she is a perfect fit for the role. When her character gets to lead from the front in the second half, she is in her element. The YouTuber Prajakta Koli makes a confident debut, but there is significant room for development in terms of expressions. As the flamboyant and excessive Gurpreet, Maniesh Paul fits the bill.

In the event that you don’t find ‘Jugjugg Jeeyo’s jokes funny, the background music will encourage you to laugh. The film’s music is catchy, with songs such as “nach punjaban” becoming popular. This family drama begins strong and ends even stronger. The runtime is slightly problematic, and the editing could have been tighter.

The captivating performances and wacky dialogues are what captivates the audience. Just like its characters, “Jugjugg Jeeyo” has flaws, but at the end of the day, it’s all about family, and this is exactly the type of wholesome family film we need to see in the theater.
