Mumbai. The film ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi,’ directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, has grossed Rs 39.12 crore in just three days. On Monday, the film’s creators revealed this information. Alia Bhatt has a significant role in the movie. According to figures shared on Twitter by Bhansali Productions Pvt Ltd, the film grossed Rs 10.5 crore on its first day of release on Friday, rising to Rs 13.32 crore on Saturday.

The film’s earnings increased to Rs 15.3 crore on Sunday as the audience’s interest in the film grew. Despite Maharashtra’s permission to open cinema halls with a 50% capacity, people in the film trade believe that ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ is doing well at the box office. The film is based on a chapter from the book Mafia Queens of Mumbai by author S Hussain Zaidi. Alia Bhatt plays Gangubai, the most powerful woman in Mumbai’s Kamathipura neighbourhood in the 1960s. Ajay Devgan, Vijay Raaz, Seema Pahwa, and Shantanu Maheshwari also play pivotal roles in the film.
