Ajay Devgn discusses his decision to release Runway 34 on Eid and Salman Khan’s reaction to his decision.
Ajay Devgn previously stated that the first thing he did upon learning of Runway 34’s Eid release date was to contact Salman Khan. Salman is well-known for scheduling his high-profile and much-anticipated films around the Eid holiday. Recent releases from him include Radhe Your Most Wanted Bhai, Bharat, Sultan, and Tubelight.
Ajay will appear in Runway 34 alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, and Rakul Preet Singh. Additionally, he produced and directed the film, which is scheduled to open in theaters on April 29. Eid is most likely to fall on a Monday or Tuesday.

When asked about the release date of his film, Ajay told Pinkvilla, “My intention was not to release something on Eid. We wanted to come on this date because it fell on Eid. I was overjoyed. When I announced the film, I was unaware that Eid would occur during the same week. I began by contacting Salman Khan.”
Salman’s response to his decision was then revealed by Ajay, who stated, “‘I have announced this date, and it is Eid,’ I stated. Are you all right?’ ‘Don’t worry, I won’t be coming that week,’ he said sweetly. I’ll return on Eid’ next year “Ajay disclosed. Ajay continued, “When it comes to festival releases, “Festivals contribute to the fact that there are holidays. Individuals attending festivals want to socialize, have a good time, and enjoy themselves. Eid follows Ramzan, and they celebrate. Cinema is intrinsically linked to celebrations.”
Salman shared the teaser for Runway 34 last month and wrote on Instagram, “I don’t have any films ready at the moment, but I’ve asked my brother @ajaydevgn if he could come on Eid, Eidi dene ke liye. Chalo iss Eid hum sab celebrate karenge aur dekhenge Runway 34 (Therefore, I invited brother Ajay Devgn to come celebrate Eid with us. As a result, this Eid, we will celebrate by watching Runway 34).”
Ajay was most recently seen in Disney+’s Rudra. He has also announced Bholaa. It will be a Hindi remake of the critically acclaimed Tamil film Kaithi. Bholaa, which also stars Tabu as a super-cop, is set to release on March 30 next year.
