A travel ban for unvaccinated citizens began on January 10th in the UAE

On Saturday, authorities announced the new rule.

Abu Dhabi (Abu Dhabi): From January 10, 2022, unvaccinated Emirati citizens will not be allowed to travel outside the UAE, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM).

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in collaboration with the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority, has made a new decision (NCEMA).

The decision was made in response to the rapid rise in global COVID-19 infections and to protect the UAE’s citizens’ health and safety.

Citizens who have already been vaccinated must take the booster dose in order to travel, according to the ministry.

Those who are exempted from vaccination due to medical or humanitarian reasons, as well as those seeking treatment abroad, will be exempted.
