A 17-year-old girl from Tamil Nadu’s Erode district has been awarded a full scholarship worth Rs 3 crore to study at the University of Chicago.
A 17-year-old girl from Tamil Nadu’s Erode district has been awarded a full scholarship worth Rs 3 crore to study at the University of Chicago.
Swega Saminathan, the daughter of a farmer, is from Kasipalayam village in Erode, according to a release from Dexterity Global, where she received leadership and career development training.
Dexterity Global identified and groomed her when she was 14, according to the report.
Swega thanked the organisation and its founder Sharad Sagar for the scholarship.
