In China, Motorola unveiled the Edge X30 as its newest flagship gadget. Motorola’s current flagship device may soon be replaced by a device with a flagship chipset and powerful camera features.
Motorola’s future flagship, codenamed “Frontier 22,” will be powered by a Plus form of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, according to WinFuture. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU is found in the Motorola Edge X30, which is expected to be released as the Moto Edge 30 Pro in global countries.
A few renders of the forthcoming Motorola smartphone were also revealed by WinFuture. A dual-curved display with minimal top and bottom bezels is featured on the Frontier 22. For the selfie camera, there is a punch-hole cutout. It appears to have a metal textured back panel with a huge camera sensor and two other sensors. The camera island comes with a built-in LED flashlight. The centre of the back panel has a class batwing Moto logo painted on it, but it doesn’t appear to be a fingerprint sensor.
In terms of specifications, the phone is believed to have a 6.67-inch OLED screen with FHD+ resolution, according to the report. It may be capable of a 144Hz refresh rate and a 20:9 aspect ratio. Motorola’s Frontier 22 is rumoured to feature a 200-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x magnification, among other camera features. The Moto Frontier 22 could include a large 60-megapixel selfie camera on the front.
A 4500mAh battery with 125W wired charging and 50W charging capability could be included in the phone. It is said to have stereo speakers, a triple microphone system for improved call quality, and Wi-Fi connectivity. The phone is believed to come preloaded with Android 12. According to the storey, the phone will be released this year, in July 2022.
Motorola, on the other hand, plans to introduce the Edge X30 as the Moto Edge 30 Pro in international countries. The Moto Edge X30 has a 6.7-inch OLED FHD+ display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a high refresh rate of 144Hz. It also has a touch sampling rate of 576Hz. HDR10+ and the DCI-P3 colour gamut are also supported by the display. A punch-hole cutout and an in-display fingerprint sensor are featured on the display.
