5 People have been Arrested as a Result of the Maha Health Department Exam Paper Leak

Five more people have been arrested as a result of the Maha Health Department exam paper leak.

Pune, Dec 7 (PTI) Pune cyber police have arrested five more people, including a Latur chief administrative officer, in connection with an alleged paper leak during a Maharashtra Health Department recruitment exam.

According to a police official, this brings the total number of people arrested in the case to eleven.

On October 30, an examination for the recruitment of grade C and D employees was scheduled, but the question paper was leaked.

During the investigation, police arrested Vijay Murhade and Anil Gaikwad in Jalna. Babaji Mundhe, Suresh Jagtap, Sandip Bhitekar, and Prakash Misal, a sailor working at the naval dockyard, were all arrested as a result of the incident.

“The names of five more accused surfaced during sustained interrogation, including Prashant Badgire, a chief administrative officer in the health department posted at Latur,” the police official said.

Dr Sandip Jogdand, a medical officer attached to the mental hospital at Ambajogai in Beed district, was among the other four arrested suspects.

According to the official, Badgire allegedly supplied a leaked paper and received Rs 10 lakh from Dr Jogdand and Rs 5 lakh from another accused, Sham Mhaske, a peon at a hospital in Ambajogai.

Uddhav Nagargoje, a primary teacher from Beed, and Rajendra Sanap, clerk, rural hospital, Osamanabad, were also arrested for alleged involvement in the racket.

“We’re looking into how Badgire got the question paper,” the official explained.
