During their investigation, the police discovered that the arrested workers assisted the killers in the murder and destruction of evidence. According to the SIT, Renjith was killed by a group of 12 men riding six motorcycles. The hunt for the remaining suspects in the case is now underway. After receiving information about the accused fleeing, the SIT is searching for them in the neighbouring states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Mangaluru.

Renjith Sreenivasan, a Kerala BJP leader, was assassinated in Alappuzha.

According to the investigation, the assailants broke into the BJP leader’s home and assaulted him. The 40-year-old was a BJP candidate in the Alappuzha constituency in the 2016 Assembly elections and is an advocate by profession. This incident occurred just days after another RSS worker, Sanjith, was assassinated in Palakkad. Sanjith was killed while riding his motorcycle with his wife when he was killed. He was stabbed more than 50 times, according to police.

It’s worth noting that the SDPI leader’s assassination coincided with two other political assassinations in the CM Vijayan-led state, including that of SDPI state secretary KS Shan, both of which occurred within a 10-hour period. Following the two murders, DC Alexander issued prohibitory orders in the district until December 20 under Section 144 of the CrPC. The cases are now being investigated further.
